A Tucson man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter and will be released from prison soon. Prosecutors said Oscar Alberto Saenz admitted he shot Marisela Gastelum Salazar, 29, in the parking lot of a nightclub on Feb. 23, 1998.

The first big wave of evacuees from hurricane-ravaged New Orleans arrived in Tucson early Wednesday afternoon. The charter flight with about 80 evacuees arrived by jet at 1:32 p.m. at Tucson International Airport's executive terminal after an about two-hour flight from New Orleans.
